Implant Dentistry

A dental implant is an option to replace a missing tooth. In this procedure, a small titanium post is surgically placed into the jaw bone and allowed to heal. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection locking it in. Once the implant is firmly set in the mouth, it is fabricated to attach onto the top of the post. This permanent solution has advantages over bridge work including the ability to easily brush and floss like natural teeth and avoiding stressing the surrounding teeth for support.
